Children’s Ministry
Who is the Coordinator?
The Coordinator is the scheduling liaison between the Children's Ministry office and the teaching team you are on. The Coordinator is responsible for scheduling the dates and service times the teachers on the team can teach and for communicating that schedule in a timely manner to the Children’s Ministry Office. There is usually one Coordinator per grade.
The coordinator:
- Acquires the names and contact information of all the teachers on the team (grade) from the Children’s Ministry office or during the Teacher Fellowship and Planning Meeting.
- The first order of business is to have a teacher scheduled for each Sunday of Sunday school through December (and then through June).
- Email/Communicate the teachers schedule to the Children’s Ministry Office
- The Children’s Ministry office uses the schedule to create/update the sign in sheet and to communicate to the teachers of each particular week:
a. A Reminder that they are teaching b. The Lesson Plan c. What to expect d. Any changes to the routine
We can not do this without updated knowledge of who is teaching J
If a teacher cannot make it the date that they are scheduled, it is the teacher’s responsibility to find a replacement and communicate that to the coordinator.
It is the coordinator responsibility to then communicates the change to the Children's Ministry office ASAP. Teacher reminders and Lesson Plans (Grades 1-5) go out the week prior to the scheduled date to teach.
If a teacher finds that he/she is ill or unable to make it to teach at the last minute they are to send an email to npcchildrens@gmail.com by 8:15 A.M. Sunday morning at THE LATEST. By having this information BEFORE services start for the day the Children's Ministry can recruit a substitute before classes start. |
