Sunday School Policies
Noroton Presbyterian Church Children's Ministry believes that Christian Education is important to the growth and development of children and is committed to providing a reliable, high quality Sunday School Program in a safe and nurturing environment.
***PLEASE be sure to sign your children in when dropping them off to ensure accurate attendance.****
Class Assignments:
3 Year Olds:
- Must be fully potty trained
- Must be accustomed to being separated from parents/siblings
- Must be 3 by December 31, 2011
4 Year Olds:
- Students who are 4 years of age by December 31, 2011
Pre-K/Kindergarten Class:
- Children who are 5-6 years of age and are not yet in 1st Grade.
- Children enrolled in Kindergarten for the current school year.
Elementary School Children:
- 1st Grade: Child is enrolled in 1st grade for the current school year.
- 2nd Grade: Child is enrolled in 2nd grade for the current school year.
- 3rd Grade: Child is enrolled in 3rd grade for the current school year.
- 4th Grade: Child is enrolled in 4th grade for the current school year.
- 5th Grade: Child is enrolled in 5th grade for the current school year.
Dismissal:
ALL children in Sunday School will be dismissed only to their parent/guardian with the following exceptions:
- Preschoolers may be dismissed to an older sibling. A PERMISSION SLIP MUST BE PROVIDED TO THE PRESCHOOL TEACHER PRIOR TO DISMISSAL OF SUNDAY SCHOOL OR PERMISSION WAS GRANTED WHEN REGISTERING ONLINE. If we do not have permission the child will remain with his/her teacher, until the parent/guardian arrives.
- Children in Grades 1-5 may be dismissed with either an older sibling OR of their own accord PROVIDING A PERMISSION SLIP HAS BEEN GIVEN TO THEIR TEACHER PRIOR TO DISMISSAL OF SUNDAY SCHOOL OR GRANTED WHEN REGISTERING ONLINE. If we do not have permission the child will remain with his/her teacher, until the parent/guardian arrives.
Parents should pick up their children immediately after the adult worship is over. Please pick up your children before attending fellowship in Horton Hall. Our teachers would like to socialize, to!
